Or perhaps disconnect the battery for a fleck to "reboot" all of the systems. This is merely a W.A.G. and may practice nothing.

If it's stuck on the ramps, wonder if the parking awl is stuck?
Wait in the owners manual for how to manually put the truck in neutral for towing. It involves pull the lower left office of the nuance and at that place is a lever that needs to be pulled and twisted in a particular manner.

If you think the park pawl is stuck, lifting a rear tire off the ground and wiggling it dorsum and forth without the brakes applied may release the tension, but exist careful. Brand sure you have sturdy cycle chocks.

Its probably safer to put the transfer example in neutral every bit suggested above.

My truck had a similar outcome. I don't have the punch, but I couldn't shift from part.

Turned out to be the wifi from the key less ignition module. Once replaced was expert. Truck would also say "WRONG KEY Pull a fast one on" sometimes before that. Since then, never an issue.

Later on a lengthy word with my son in constabulary I had him text me a picture of the plug he removed and it was the tranny plug. It didn't make sense to me because he said inappreciably anything came out because he has a 16 qrt pan to dump the oil in and in that location wasn't much in there. I ended up driving 183 miles to their house after my granddaughters hockey game ( which she won ) and OMG what a mess. eight o'clock Sun out in the stone driveway dumping 21 qrts of oil out of the truck. We had ii xvi qrt pans so it was to much of a hassle except trying to get the plug back in after we filled the showtime pan. Nosotros refilled the truck with Rotella T6 instead of the 5 W thirty Euro oil. There is a Service bulletin out ( 18-078-16 ) that FCA is changing the oil spec for the Eco-Diesel. Because of the many engine failures they found that the 5 Westward thirty oil is to sparse so they a switching to Rotella T6 5W40. They oasis't gone across the boards yet because they don't accept all the new stickers for the oil filler cap and the supplement to go in the owners transmission. And then at present we had to decided what to do with the tranny fluid, the one Mopar said you are suppose to use is $40.00 a qrt. After some enquiry on youtube anybody was using Valvoline MaxLife ATF after a transmission affluent. I wasn't going to take the run a risk and then I chosen Valvoline Monday morn and talked to a Tech. He stated that FCA has a licensing agreement with Valvoline to supply them ( FCA ) with Max Life ATF for the ZF 8 & 9 speed tranny's. And so I purchased two gallons at $17.00 a piece which is a hell of a lot cheaper than the Mopar ATF. Recharged the tranny with well-nigh vi qrts. of fluid and there is a procedure you accept to go through when filling information technology and it actually didn't take but xx minutes and away it went. Took the truck for a ride and information technology was just similar new or better. Love my son in police force to expiry, hard working guy but just not that mechanically inclined. He'southward done three oil changes on this truck and never had a event before so I just don't know what happened this time. Live and larn every bit they say.
